Who runs this

Rant to Me is operated by Korey Davis, Ontario, Canada. Contact: koreyydaviss@gmail.com. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

You must be 18 or older

Rant to Me is for adults. You confirm you are 18 or older when you sign up. If you are under 18, please do not use the service. Kids Help Phone (call 1-800-668-6868 or text CONNECT to 686868) is free, 24 hours a day, across Canada.

What this is, and is not

Rant to Me is peer venting. You talk, a volunteer listens. It is not therapy, counselling, medical care, or crisis care. Nobody here diagnoses, treats, or gives professional advice. The AI companion is software, not a person, and is not a substitute for care either.

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about suicide, call 911, or call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Canada and US), or find your local line at findahelpline.com. The Crisis support button on every screen links to these.

Listeners are volunteers

Listeners are volunteers, not vetted professionals. Treat a call like a conversation with a stranger and share only what you are comfortable sharing. Listeners agree to these conduct rules:

• Listen. Do not give advice, diagnose, or try to fix.
• Keep what you hear on the call to yourself.
• Never record a call or take notes that identify a caller.
• Do not seek contact with a caller outside the platform, and do not share your own contact details.
• If a call goes beyond venting, point the caller to the crisis resources and flag the call for review.
• Be on time for the live hours you sign up for.

Anyone on a call can report it with the flag button. Reports are reviewed by Korey Davis.

Acceptable use

You may not use the platform to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, to share sexual content involving minors, or to record a call. The shared space is for personal expression only: no spam, no commercial content, no posting other people’s private information. One account per person.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove an account, a post, or a listener at any time for breaking these terms or putting anyone at risk, with or without notice. Two people who have reported each other are never matched again. You can delete your own account at any time by emailing koreyydaviss@gmail.com.

Tips

After some calls we may show an optional link to tip the project. Tips are voluntary, are not payment for any service, and are non-refundable. Calling, listening, and every other part of Rant to Me is free and does not depend on tipping.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Rant to Me is provided as is. We do not guarantee that a listener will be available, that a call will connect, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Korey Davis is not liable for the content of conversations between users or for outcomes arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are heard in the courts of Ontario.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after the change is acceptance. The date at the top shows the current version.
