The role
Take voice or video calls during scheduled live hours. People vent; you listen. No advice, no diagnosis. This is peer support, not counseling, and the onboarding covers exactly where that line is.
The commitment
A short onboarding covering the listening guidelines and the crisis-escalation protocol, then a minimum of one live-hour block (about 3 hours) per week.
